Serge Brunoni was born in 1938 in Lagny-en-Barrois (France). After the Second World War, difficult living conditions forced him to leave school and to go work in a factory from the age of 14. Between 20 and 23 years, he does his military service in French Equatorial Africa. Back in the metropolis, the great spaces of Africa miss him. He decided to move to Canada and to settle in Trois-Rivières, where he has lived since 1963.

Self-taught artist, Serge Brunoni remembers that, from an early age, he has always drawn and appreciated the complexity of colors. He made his first works in 1970 and held his first solo exhibition in 1976. Since then, he has made several exhibitions in various galleries in Quebec and Ontario. His very personal European touch has influenced many young artists.
