Eric Robitaille is a Montreal-based contemporary self-taught painter. He has participated in several exhibitions across Canada and is currently represented by galleries in Montreal, Baie-Saint-Paul and Ontario.

For the creation of these paintings, he has developed through the years a unique signature of the figurative mixed with the modern abstract. This mix of techniques gives it a place for a spontaneous and intuitive construction process, followed by a very meticulous feedback, to create links and balance in the canvas.

His way of integrating multiple layers, matching the colors and various elements of a canvas, allows to communicate perfectly the message conveyed in the canvas.

Eric is mainly inspired by nature and wildlife. Animals take an important place in most of his paintings, primarily to portray the symbolism of human behavior and its different life-styles.
