Éric Robitaille

Eric Robitaille is a Montreal painter.  He has participated in several exhibitions across Canada and is currently represented by galleries in Quebec, Ontario and the United States.

Over the years, he has developed a unique signature mixing the figurative with the abstract.

This mixture of techniques gives way to a spontaneous and intuitive construction process, followed by a very meticulous return, to create links and balance in the canvas. His way of integrating multiple layers, pairing colors and various elements of a canvas, playing with the illusions of patterns and textures make the viewer travel between a hyper realistic world and an imaginary and dreamlike dimension.

Eric Robitaille is mainly inspired by nature and wildlife. Animals play an important role in most of his paintings, essentially to depict the symbolism of human behavior and its different mechanics of life.
