Albini Leblanc was born in Gaspésie in 1947 and died in Quebec City in 2020.
From an early age he has always loved everything related to art. When he began his teaching career in 1971, Albini Leblanc began drawing in a corner of his basement to relax, and he devoured everything he found about Impressionist painters and analyzed their works. Sketching portraits, still lifes and landscapes he experimented with pastel and charcoal and then oil painting.
In 1979 he exhibited for the first time. "At the time," he said, "I was trying to paint reality instead of interpreting it." He refined his technique, specified his gesture, multiplied his experiments and in 1980 he abandoned the brushes and adopted the spatula, which he mastered brilliantly. He also began to paint his moving landscapes so characteristic of his style. He's finally interpreting reality!
Since then, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposia and his works are exhibited in several galleries across Canada.
