Lynda Dallaire was born in Quebec City in 1962. Since she was a child, she has experimented with various artistic techniques. She later pursued art classes at the college level.
An innovator, she has developed an unusual technique: she uses large aluminum plates on which she paints with acrylic huge flower petals in bright colors. She then creates rich textures using coffee beans, mortar and sand. Finally, she lays out epoxy on the work, which seals its various components in a sustainable way.
The effect is surprising: contrast of textures between the smoothness of the varnish and the rough grains, contrast of bright colors and dark tones, streaked with golden filaments here and there which contrasts the warm colors from the cold of the metal.
