Marie-Claude Demers was born in Drummondville in 1970. After a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières and a specialization in the field of childhood, Marie-Claude Demers practiced painting for fifteen years, participating in numerous exhibitions, many of them outside the country. Bronze sculpture was gradually introduced in her path from 2000.
Living in her own paradise, a century-old house surrounded by mountains in Inverness, this real cultural area allows her to put effort and meticulousness into the many manipulations involved in bronze sculpture. It is also with the bronze workshop of Inverness that the artist has been working closely for several years, for the production of her works in which the foundry team uses a long series of steps to arrive at the final product.
Many projects are underway, ever bigger, more ambitious and the artist is always happy to be able to share them with the public.
The artist's production is now divided between painting and sculpture. Marie-Claude Demers has to her credit the production of many works sold in several art galleries. You can also find your work in calendars or on album covers. Her works can be found in various public and private collections around the world.
