Collection: Albini Leblanc
From a very young age, he has always loved everything related to art. When he began his teaching career in 1971, Albini Leblanc began drawing in a corner of his basement to relax, devouring everything he could find on Impressionist painters and analyzing their works. Sketching portraits, still lifes, and landscapes, he experimented with pastels and charcoal, then oil painting.
In 1979 he exhibited for the first time. "At the time," he said, "I was trying hard to paint reality instead of interpreting it." He refined his technique, refined his gestures, multiplied his experiments, and in 1980 he abandoned his brushes and adopted the spatula, which he mastered brilliantly. He also began to paint his dancing landscapes, so characteristic of his style. He was finally interpreting reality!
Since then, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums and his works are exhibited in several galleries across Canada.
