Collection: Cynthia Coulombe Begin

The artist uses the artistic and athletic training taught by her parents from a young age to develop her own language. More specifically, dance serves to develop her personality and her aesthetic linked to the body, which she exploits in her pictorial practice. In 2006, Cynthia Coulombe Bégin began her professional artistic career at the Marius Barbeau Museum with her first solo, Traces Corporales. She accumulates her experience with exhibitions in various galleries and private companies, awards and collective events between Miami and Quebec.

Inspired by the body and the experience of humanity, Cynthia Coulombe Bégin's creative approach consists of reconstructing the organism in fragments through a highly sensitive approach that offers a reflection on our identity and our existence. Referring to the body and its evolution, its mutation, she develops her pictorial research marked by her interests in the performing arts, spatial effects, organic forms and their inner forces. Through her works, the artist presents us with her thoughts on the soul and matter, consciousness and the universe.
