Collection: Eric Robitaille

Eric Robitaille is a Montreal-based painter. He has participated in several exhibitions across Canada and is currently represented by galleries in Quebec, Ontario, and the United States. Over the years, he has developed a unique signature blending figurative and abstract styles.

This mix of techniques gives rise to a spontaneous and intuitive construction process, followed by a very meticulous return, to create links and balance in the canvas. His way of integrating multiple layers, of pairing colors and the various elements of a canvas, of playing with the illusions of patterns and textures take the spectator on a journey between a hyperrealistic world and an imaginary and dreamlike dimension.

Eric Robitaille is primarily inspired by nature and wildlife. Animals play an important role in most of his paintings, primarily to depict the symbolism of human behavior and its various life mechanics.
