An innovator, she has developed an unusual technique: she uses large, custom-cut aluminum plates on which she paints immense flower petals in bright, vivid colors with acrylics. She then creates rich textures using coffee beans, mortar, and sand. Finally, she spreads a special, very liquid lacquer over the work, which seals its various components in a lasting way. The resulting effect is astonishing: a contrast of textures between the smoothness of the lacquer and the roughness of the grains, a contrast of bright colors and dark tones, streaked with golden filaments here and there, and sometimes a contrast of warm colors and the coldness of the steel.
